February Skies

8 Mar

I spent most of February watching BBC’s Lark Rise to Candleford.  (Season 3 & 4 are coming to Netflix soon) The days were so gray; BBC seemed like the perfect antidote to the gray skies.  While I was working on this vest for Ella, I kept thinking about how the gray skies of February seem to usher in the hope of spring.  And, without even really thinking about it, the February skies became beautiful to me.   A time to embrace the waiting for spring.  February seemed so long to me while we were counting it’s days and now it seems like such a blur.

In the stillness, I thought about some new routines and some home changes we need to make in the coming season.  The girls are in the midst of switching rooms, Ella has begun a few morning chores, and we have a small list of places we need to simplify and pare down, and there are a few things I would like to plant.

Ravelry notes here.
