This is the first project I ever made for me. For some reason, I forget to ever put it on my blog. I wear this scarf all the time. Pattern is the one I shared here. As I was learning to knit and slowly making my way through Sophia’s knit blanket I kept seeing this bamboo yarn in the knit shop. The pattern is really quite simple, and I do love it’s bank for your buck appearance. Through the wonders of the internet a talented yarn-loving lady in South Africa stumbled upon my humble blog. Several of the ladies in her craft share have knit up this project. This is what I love about knitting and the crafting community.
Ravelry notes here.
From last week’s yarn along, my knitting progress it looks quite a bit like last week’s except the stitches are no longer twisted!!!! I finished A Homemade Life by Molly Wisenberg. I continued to enjoy it and have ear marked several of her recipes to try. I am going to try her slow roasted tomatoes with a pinch of coriander today. I think they would be delicious on a turkey sandwich.

As for another idea peculating with me:
Everyday Beauty. For the month of September I am having a little photo challenge to try and capture more of the everyday. A little beauty amidst the craziness. A month to be a seeker of beauty. 30 photos to see the simplicity and loveliness of the here and now. I would love if you would join me. {leave me a little note, if you would like to join in}
linking up with ginny for another week of yarning along.
Lovely scarf. I’m the same way – most everything I make I make for other people. But this fall I’m doing some knitting for me as well. Much fun.
