I am joining in with Amanda for {this moment} – A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.
** please see this post for excellent tips about doing leaf rubbings with toddlers. I used the glue trick and instead of staples, I used scotch tape in two of the corners. Not having to worry about the paper moving helped my girls (age 4 & 2) very much.
I almost completely forgot about making leaf imprints! These are gorgeous.
Thank you! The girls and I had fun making them this week.
Wow! Those are great! My children haven’t done this in ages…gave me an idea for this weekend. Thank you for sharing 😉

Thank you Mary.
Oh what a great idea!!!
Cordelia might be old enough to do them this fall and I bet she would like it- sophia thought they were fun yesterday!
I miss doing that! We have to make faux fall leaves here. 😦 This looks so pretty it looks like it was all placed so precisely.
It was hard for me to choose a moment this week, but since this made me laugh at myself & how far I’ve come with ocd, I chose “Cheerios and Toes”.

I really hope you will take a “moment” to come by! 🙂
I bet your girls would like the “rubbing” idea with something other than leaves. What part of the country do you guys live it?
Beautiful leaf rubbings – we’ll be trying those this weekend!
Please let me know if you tried them, I would love to see them.
Beautiful! I was just thinking about doing some craft with leaves. Thanks for the idea. Did you use just regular crayons?
I’ve been enjoying the fall in the garden these days…

An inlngtileet answer – no BS – which makes a pleasant change
Beautiful! Might have to give that a try this week with my boys… 🙂
Have a good weekend!
Please let me know if you tried them, I would like to see other people’s. Hope you have a god day!
This is on my list to do before it’s too late this season.
I had a lot of fun doing them with the girls this year.
i used to enjoy doing that as a kid – might have to do it with my littles as soon as the leaves begin to fall!
I think I had just as much fun as they did!
Ha, I very almost chose a leaf rubbing picture as well today. So much fun!
Did Kaya like doing them?
As far as I can tell 🙂 He was not as gentle in his colour choices though; yours turned out so lovely and neat! I’ll post some pics soon. Have a lovely week
That’s a sharp way of thnkniig about it.
Must remember to do these when autumn comes again next year here in the southern hemisphere
I bet you are getting to do such fun spring things though!
