I turn 30 today!   Truth be told, I am pretty excited about it.  Joel turned 30 last month and together we decided to forgo the usual birthday traditions.   We’re donating our birthdays and giving the gift of clean, safe water to others through the work of charity: water.    This year, especially, we have been awed time and time again about the many blessings in our life, and we wanted turning 30 to be about giving to others in need.

So here’s the question we’d like to ask: Would you — our community of friends and family — consider making a small donation so that together we may give the gift of water to others?

For weeks, Sophie and Eva have been washing dishes together.  Water play.  We so want clean drinking water for others since I live in the blessing of my kids being able to play in clean water.  Since starting this campaign, I can’t look at their sink time the same way again.

Any amount you choose to give – we appreciate deeply. Every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund clean water projects in Tigray, Ethiopia. charity: water will show us exactly which projects we have ALL funded in Tigray once they’ve been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we’ll ALL be able to see the communities we’ve helped.

Our starting goal is to raise $1500.00.   We can do it.

Please join us in being part of the bigger story.

With Love,

Joel & Katie
